Sri Maruvarkuzhali sametha Sri Chidambareshwarar temple is probably more than 400 years old situated in the northern banks of Cheyyar river in Kanchipuram dt, TN. Inscriptions suggest that this temple was maintained by a Siddhar called Thirumalai Siddhar whose Jeevasamadhi is nearby. This temple was in dilapidated form and villagers took efforts to reconstruct and Kumbabhishekam done on 9.02.2020. Due to lack of funds, only main sannidhis for the Lord and supreme mother were constructed during that time. Now villagers are taking efforts to construct a madapam thereby completing the entire temple structure.
The Mandapam construction includes pillars, roofing and basement with Silpa.
